Section # 26 Filmed In Malta
To compliment with today's story, I am dedicating this week's Gallery to some of the many films which were shot partly or entirely in Malta. Hereunder I am uploading only a few posters of those movies.
Besides the famous Rinella tank which is very much sought after by film makers, the Maltese ambiance and atmosphere ...... cliffs, old and modern architecture, narrow streets in some villages, sandy and rocky beaches, numerous castles and palaces are all factors which make many producers choose our island to make their films. Others factors are the favorable weather, the fact that Maltese speak English and Italian well and Malta, being small, the distances are never a problem.
In the search which I made, I was surprised to learn that many more films than I imagined are filmed here. Other than English and Italian speaking, there are many other films form other countries with different languages which we don't even hear about.
For those who are interested, I am pasting three sites from which I got a mine of information about this subject. So if you want to know about the stories of the films, the date of manufacture, the actors that took part, the locations on our islands where they were shot and much more, all you have to do is visit these sites. Enjoy!
